Utility Designator
Description:
This individual will have over five years of experience in Quality Level B and Quality Level A work. They will have worked with survey crews and are able to create an accurate field drawing utilizing a three tape methodology, are proficient in working in the field alone or as a crew chief, and can visually identify utilities and is familiar with their installation. The SUE Senior Designator is called upon by the other SUE Designators when there is a problem with electromagnetic readings, missed utilities, or scope clarification.
Desired Skills and Expertise:
- Over five years of Designating Quality Level B and Quality Level A SUE work in conformity to ASCE 38-02.
- Identify utility ownership, communicate and meet with Utility Provider Locators.
- Able to oversee and supervise other Designators.
- Ability and familiarity to use the RD 8000, Metrotech 810, and v-Loc Pro 5000 in direct connection and induction mode.
- Able to create computerized field drawings and upload to the office.
- Able to pass a drug test and have a clear driving record.

Project Manager - Traffic Engineering
Expertise in the area of Traffic Engineering and Planning.
Experience completing intersection studies, traffic impact analysis (TIA), signal timing and traffic design, including signalization. Applicant will be an expert at traffic and engineering software such as Synchro, HCS, Microstation. VISSIM and planning software a plus.
Applicant must have experience managing traffic engineering projects and have a track record of completing projects from start to finish with little or no supervision. Applicant will be expected to work with and direct other engineers in the Binkley & Barfield traffic group.
Strong technical skills desired; a graduate degree is preferred. Understanding of the local Houston and Harris County permitting approval process is desired. Face-to-face experience with clients a plus.
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Civil Engineering or a related field PLUS five (3-5) years of increasingly responsible engineering experience, including one (1) years of administrative and supervisory responsibility required. Preference may be given to higher levels of education, experience and certifications as they relate to the vacancy. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access skills required.
Possession of registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Texas. If licensed in another state, continued employment will be contingent upon obtaining registration as a Professional Engineer, within the State of Texas, within six (6) months of employment required. Position requires travel to project sites to conduct visual inspections and the ability to walk for extended periods of time while making site visits. Possession of a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record is required.

Bridge Design Engineer
Our Transportation group is looking for a Bridge Design Engineer to work in our Houston Office. Preferred candidate should have 5-6 years of experience in TxDOT and/or State DOT government bridge design (AASHTO LRFD), including structural software utilization. Candidate must have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited U.S. University and the ability to obtain Texas P.E. licensing (no exceptions). Master's Degree in Structural Engineering is preferred.

Telecom Designer & Engineer
Our Utility Team is seeking engineers and designers to work in our Houston office. Candidates must have engineering or CAD experience in the Telecom industry, including, but not limited to, experience with FTTx, AT&T systems, copper and fiber in all environments; cable count distribution and assignments; outside and inside plant plan & profile drawings for buried, underground, and aerial fiber/copper cabling installations. Proficiency in MicroStation or AutoCAD is required and applicants should be willing to make field visits to verify existing conditions and take field measurements.
