Celebrating National Public Works Week at the TPWA Picnic

BBI was proud to participate in the annual American Public Works (APWA) Picnic organized by the Southeast Branch of the Texas APWA Chapter and co-hosted by the Cities of League City and Webster. The picnic is held each year to celebrate the Public Works Professionals during National Public Works Week (NPWW). To show support, BBI provided T-shirts for picnic participants and pizza for the kickoff pizza party. BBI team members even joined in on the fun at the picnic and judged numerous categories for the cook-off.

NPWW is a celebration of the tens of thousands of men and women in North America who provide and maintain the infrastructure and services collectively known as public works. Instituted as a public education campaign by the American Public Works Association (APWA) in 1960, NPWW calls attention to the importance of public works in community life. NPWW seeks to enhance the prestige of the often unsung heroes of our society, the professionals who serve the public good every day with quiet dedication.
