Binkley & Barfield, Inc. (BBI) is pleased to announce the addition of David Calabuig, Sr., PE, MBA, to our Austin, Texas office who will serve as Managing Director of our Transportation division, overseeing state-wide transportation services.

Mr. Calabuig is a graduate of The University of Texas at Dallas with a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington. Additionally, he holds an Associated Degree in French Civil Engineering from the Gustave Eiffel Technical Institute, France and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Texas, Georgia and Virginia. Mr. Calabuig has over 22 years of experience in transportation engineering including roadway and highway design schematic and PS&E, development of performance requirements and associated technical requirements for alternative delivery. His career includes progressive experience in large program management, acting as an extension of the Texas of Department of Transportation’s staff, and has been involved with some of the largest transportation contracts in U.S. history.
Mr. Calabuig is currently pre-certified by TxDOT in 18 work categories, is a well published author and active in numerous industry associations including the Austin Management Society, where he serves as Founder and Board Member and the American Society of Civil Engineers, Region 6 (TX, NM & OK), where he serves as Governor.
