BBI’s Marketing Team Celebrates Adopt A Cat Month at El Gato

BBI’s Marketing team enjoyed a meow-nificent afternoon on Wednesday with some special friends at El Gato Coffee House in the Heights. Team members Mindy Gray, Katy Bates, Jennifer Fisher, Sarah Hoban, Jessica Steglich, Shelby Redman, and Dave Hamilton, PE took an after-work field trip to the feline-friendly coffee house for a Marketing team building activity, and also to commemorate National Cat Adoption Month.

El Gato Coffeehouse is Houston’s first cat café, featuring a “Cat Cottage” where patrons can enjoy snacks and beverages from an on-site food truck and relax in a unique kitty habitat. El Gato is partnered with Friends for Life, a no kill animal adoption and rescue organization in Houston. All resident cats are available to patrons for adoption, or just for some relaxing kitty therapy. The café also hosts ongoing activities throughout the month like the popular “Paint with Cats,” and a weekend “Yoga with Cats” class. And in case that is not enough, the café also offers a gift shop full of unique kitty-themed meowchandise
