BBI’s Cameron Williams, PE, PTOE, PTP; Tony Romo, PE; Edgar Saucedo, PE; and David Francis, PE of the Richardson office attended the Texas Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE) Eweek Luncheon on February 20th at the Plano Event Center. BBI was a Bronze Sponsor of this year’s event, and Richard Arvizu served as event co-chair. The luncheon marked the 11th anniversary of combined events between TSPE Dallas and Preston Trail Chapters. Colleen Coyle, WFAA Channel 8 meteorologist, served as the event emcee, where 10 honorees from ASCE, SAME, SPE, TSPE Dallas, and TSPE Preston Trail were recognized by their peers for their extraordinary engineering achievements and outstanding community service.

Attendees enjoyed an engaging and emotional presentation by Richard Margolin, Founder and Chief Technology Officer of RoboKind, about the socially advanced robot named Milo the company had developed and the impact that he is making in schools across the nation, especially with autistic students.

The luncheon raised over $100,000 that went to support the continued promotion and enhancement of the engineering industry through initiatives like providing scholarships for tomorrow’s engineers.
