How has Landev helped you to develop and expand your professional career as an engineer?
Landev has helped me develop my professional career by allowing me the opportunity to work on business development, stay connected with other engineers in the industry, and work on large, complex projects. My involvement in business development has opened many opportunities for me to listen and contribute to the development community. It also lets me to stay connected with other consultants through the American Council of Engineering Companies to contribute to solutions encountered in the development community. Working on large projects that involve all components of Civil Engineering enables me to develop and share what I have learned with everyone involved.
What has been one of your favorite Landev projects to have been a part of?
One of my favorite Landev projects to be a part of is the River Ranch project. It was a 7,000-acre master planned community that provided me the opportunity to share my skills in client relations; increase my knowledge in facilities such as lift stations, water plats, and wastewater plants; and utilize my experience in land development to guide our clients when making major project decisions.
If you weren’t an engineer, what career could you see yourself having?
Growing up in the construction industry and having a strong aptitude for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), I was lead to a career in engineering, but have always considered a career in the construction industry either as a developer, homebuilder, or utility construction.
When you aren’t at work, what do you like to do most in your free time?
When I’m not at work, I enjoy time with immediate family and church family. I enjoy getting together for Sunday lunch, birthdays, and holidays with my family and being an active member at Windwood Presbyterian Church. There I participate monthly with a men’s group cleaning up the church grounds, attending weekly bible studies, weekly small group meetings, and attending church service on Sundays.
