Binkley & Barfield has helped me expand my engineering career by giving me opportunities to help others and learn different types of projects. Working with new types of clients and leading others has really fulfilled my desire to help people.
WHAT QUALITIES AND SKILLS DOES IT TAKE TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN ENGINEERING?
I have found that I am most successful in my career whenever I am able to keep learning new skills and then turn around to teach others. Teamwork and team leadership are the foundation to a successful career, and I have found that here at Binkley & Barfield.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TYPE OF WORK TO DO IN THE ENGINEERING FIELD?
My favorite type of work is currently utility engineering. It is challenging and really engages the problem-solving side of my brain.
IF YOU COULD HAVE ONE SUPERPOWER, WHAT WOULD IT BE AND WHY?
If I could have one superpower, I would choose to be able to love people like Jesus loves people at all times. I think I can be critical sometimes, and it would just be cool to see people and love people as Jesus does.
