Our Utility Coordination team assists our clients with project utilities. In the design phase, our team identifies potential conflicts and presents alternatives for a quick resolution. As an example, our recommended solution might be to require a utility relocation to avoid a direct conflict, or it may be more feasible to adjust the roadway design to protect the utility in place. Our team is well versed in preparing utility agreements for the utility owner’s reimbursement. We review the plan developed by the utility owner for any issues with the proposed construction or with other utility relocations. If our team needs more information about the utility, our in-house Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) team has the resources to accurately locate subsurface utilities based on Quality Levels A through D. Our team provides utility inspection to verify the utility’s relocation through daily work reports and other documentation. The team is focused on providing solutions for utility coordination issues impacting the construction and schedule for the client.
